Weaponizing Hate in India: Perpetrators, Victims, and Political Stakes of Hate Speech in 2024

The Center for the Study of Organized Hate (CSOH) invites you to a discussion on India Hate Lab’s 2024 Report on Hate Speech Events in India, where lead authors will discuss hate speech trends, political gains, and social costs. 

This session will offer policymakers, journalists, academics, and researchers an opportunity to engage directly with the authors, ask questions, and explore the political, social, and policy implications of the report’s findings, along with strategies to counter and mitigate hate speech.

Rohit Chopra is a professor in the Department of Communication at Santa Clara University and a visiting scholar at the Center for South Asia at Stanford University.
