Emerging Platforms and Online Technologies – The Future of Threats

Terrorism, radicalisation, and emerging technologies continue to pose complex and evolving challenges to global security. Both state and non-state actors can and have exploited new technologies, including digital platforms, to advance their agendas.

This workshop brings together experts to provide critical updates on terrorism trends in Southeast Asia, Syria, Iran, and Africa, right-wing extremism and other global threats such as 3D printed weapons. They will also discuss strategies for countering online hate in the current digital landscape.

The workshop is being organised by S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies’s Centre of Excellence for National Security (CENS) in Singapore.

Who Should Attend

Policymakers, academics, and other experts who are: (a) concerned about hybrid threats, (b) focused on their sociopolitical implications, and (c) interested in efforts to counter these threats.
