Abhyudaya Tyagi is an Associate Research Fellow at the Center for the Study of Organized Hate’s Violence, Extremism and Radicalization Program (VERP). His research focuses on political violence, inequality and democratic backsliding in South Asia.
He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at the Department of Political Science at Columbia University and has previously earned a degree from New York University, Abu Dhabi in Economics and Political Science. His current projects include research on political violence, an empirical analysis of the historical relationship between economic inequality on political inequality in India, a study of various methods of correcting hate-filled misinformation, and research on the causes and consequences of extrajudicial violence in India.
